The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet plans to resume a westbound daytime work zone lane restriction on Interstate 24 in Trigg County on Monday.
According to a news release, the work zone lane restriction along I-24 westbound from about the 69 to 68-mile marker near the Trigg-Christian County Line is to allow maintenance work to stabilize the right-of-way that may be impacting some concrete pavement slabs.
Westbound motorists should be alert for slowing and merging traffic as they approach the 69-mile marker. All traffic will move to the right-hand or driving lane in this work zone.
Due to excavations along the median area, this work zone will remain up around the clock until the work is completed.
Motorists should use appropriate caution where equipment, flaggers, and maintenance personnel are along the roadway in close proximity to traffic flow. This work zone lane restriction is expected to be in place for about one week.
