Hopkinsville Rotary Club gearing up for return of Rotary Auction

The WHOP Rotary Radio Auction will return to the airwaves and the War Memorial Building in just about a month, and Rotary is still accepting items and donations.

Brandon Killebrew is the auction chair for the 73rd auction that raises funds to support local scholars as they look to advance their education.  Appearing on WHOP Thursday, he says they are still looking for items to auction, and if a business is interested, they can call (270) 886-3034.

Along with the usual ways to bid on items when it comes time for the auction itself, Killebrew says they’ve partnered with Bollinger Real Estate so people can bid online for the items they want.

He says one of the most important fundraising aspects that folks can donate to is the Hour Club—for a $182 donation, people can fully fund an hour of college for students.

The auction—which has the theme of “Making An Impact”—will take place April 17 through the 22, and Killebrew says they’ll be bringing back all the usual favorites, including the diner and Boston Butts.
