Stephanie Bolen appointed Commonwealth’s Attorney

Stephanie Bolen will be Christian County’s next Commonwealth’s Attorney.

State Senator Gerald Neal of Louisville announced that Bolen has been appointed by Governor Andy Beshear to replace the resigning Rick Boling Saturday morning at the Modernette’s African-American Heritage Breakfast.

Bolen served as an assistant commonwealth’s attorney under Boling from January of 2019 until last summer when she was terminated as she campaigned for the circuit judge seat in Christian County’s Division 2.

She lost in the general election to incumbent Judge John Atkins.

Boling’s resignation becomes official on Tuesday.
