Driver fatigue cited as factor in early morning crash on Cox Mill Road

Driver fatigue led to a single-vehicle accident early Friday morning on Cox Mill Road in Hopkinsville that sent the driver to the hospital.

It happened about 1:45 a.m. and the Hopkinsville Police Department report says 30-year old Brandon Reed of Clarksville was northbound when he fell asleep at the wheel and collided with the corner of a bridge in the 3100 block of Cox Mill.

He was taken by EMS to Jennie Stuart Medical Center for treatment of injuries.
