Trial that had been set to begin Monday morning for the suspect accused of murdering 31-year old John Michael Kellems at a home on North McPherson Avenue in March of last year was postponed, but attorneys say a resolution in the case may be imminent.
Public defender Eric Bearden asked Christian Circuit Judge John Atkins for another week to discuss the matter with the commonwealth and they’ll all be back in court next Monday to possibly resolve the case against 32-year old Lance Bowden of Hopkinsville.
Bowden allegedly used a knife to cut Kellems’ throat in the bedroom of a home on North McPherson and he’s charged with murder.
