Cardinals Open Season Friday Against Bucknell

The University of Louisville baseball team begins its 2023 season on Friday at 3 p.m. ET with the first of three games against Bucknell at Jim Patterson Stadium. The series continues with games Saturday and Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.

Softball Set For ACC/Big Ten Challenge

The University of Louisville softball team return to action this weekend when the Cardinals travel to Atlanta for the ACC/Big Ten Challenge hosted by Georgia Tech. The Cardinals will open the weekend against Illinois on Friday at 1 p.m. The tournament will continue on Saturday when Louisville takes on Wisconsin at 10 a.m. followed by a rematch with Illinois. The Cards will wrap up the weekend against the Badgers at 10 a.m. on Sunday.

WKU Softball to Play at the Carolina Classic

WKU Softball is set for week two of the 2023 season as the Hilltoppers will travel down to Columbia, South Carolina to play in the Carolina Classic this weekend. Hosted by the Gamecocks, the Tops are scheduled to play Delaware and East Tennessee on Friday, a night match up with George Washington on Saturday, and round out the tournament playing Campbell and host South Carolina on Sunday.

Hilltoppers Set to Open 2023 Season Against Dayton

WKU Baseball is set to open its season with a three-game series against Dayton beginning at 3 p.m. CT on Friday, Feb. 17 at Nick Denes Field. The Hilltoppers will open their series on Friday, Feb. 17 with a 3 p.m. CT matchup, then play the Flyers at 3 p.m. CT on Saturday, Feb. 18, and then close out the series on Sunday, Feb. 19 at 1 p.m. CT.

The Roland Fanning era begins for Govs baseball, Friday-Sunday

The 85th season of Austin Peay baseball begins this weekend when the Govs host Illinois State in a three-game series on Joe Maynard Field at Raymond C. Hand Park. Head coach Roland Fanning makes his head coaching debut this weekend. An assistant the past 15 seasons, including stints at Oklahoma State and Kentucky, he takes over an Austin Peay program that posted 19 wins in 2022. Fanning’s hire sparked a near-complete flip of the Governors’ roster. Austin Peay’s 2023 lineup includes 27 transfers – the most of any Division I program – with 17 transfers coming from a previous Division I roster. Austin Peay was picked to finish 11th in the ASUN Preseason Coaches Poll. Meanwhile, D1Baseball.com tapped the Govs to finish eighth and marked the Govs as one of its Top Turnaround Teams in a preseason podcast.

Governors face a tough tournament field at Tiger Invitational

Austin Peay State University’s softball team will face one of the toughest tournament fields in program history, this weekend at Jane B. Moore Field in Auburn, Alabama, as they participate in the Tiger Invitational. Joining the Governors (0-3) in this weekend’s event are Dayton (3-2), Villanova (3-2), and No. 21-ranked Auburn (4-1), with Austin Peay opening play Friday, 10 a.m., versus Dayton, followed by a 3 p.m. contest against host, Auburn. Saturday will see the Govs play back-to-back contests, opening with a 10 a.m., matchup versus Villanova, followed by a 12:30 p.m. rematch with Dayton. The Govs will conclude play Sunday, 2:30 p.m., versus Auburn.

Racers Head To Troy For Four Games

The Murray State softball team travels to Troy, Alabama this weekend for four games at the 2023 Troy Invitational. The Racers will take on Kennesaw State and Troy on both Friday and Saturday.
