A man was taken first to the hospital and then to jail following a single-vehicle accident Sunday night on Country Club Lane in Hopkinsville.
The collision report from Hopkinsville police says 40-year old Johnathan Escobar of Hopkinsville had been traveling near The Pines apartments when his pickup went off the roadway and overturned several times.
Escobar allegedly fled the scene on foot, but was found at a location on Cox Mill Road.
He was taken by police to Jennie Stuart Health for treatment of cuts to his forearms and then arrested for DUI and leaving the scene of an accident.
The arrest citation for Escobar says he showed signs of being impaired and smelled of alcohol.
He refused a blood test at the hospital, according to the report.
