The Pennyrile Area Development District has received a clean audit from the office of Kentucky Auditor Mike Harmon’s Office.
Harmon, who is running for the Republican nomination for governor this year, presented his findings Monday to the PADD Board of Directors, saying no issues were found in the audit for the fiscal year ending June 30, 2022.
House Bill 189, which passed the General Assembly unanimously during the 2017 session, gave the auditor’s office the right to either audit area development districts or review ADD audits conducted by private accounting firms.
