United Way of the Pennyrile set to wrap-up campaign

The United Way of the Pennyrile is wrapping up their annual fundraising campaign, but doesn’t mean their work is done.

President Betsy Bond appeared on WHOP recently as says they’re very hopeful they will reach their $730,000 goal and donations are still being accepted if you want to help with that—their wrap-up celebration will be February 9.

After things come to a close, Bond says they’ll be looking for volunteers to become agency panelists. She says it’s a great chance to have a direct impact in the community, and see what the United Way partner agencies are doing with the money they receive.

Anyone with an interest in serving as panelist to review agency applications should call the United Way at 886-8171. Bond says campaign co-chairs Lucas Stagner and Whitney Stewart have done a tremendous job this year, and the United Way is already looking forward to the next campaign, all in the name of support those 19 partner agencies in Christian, Todd, Trigg and Caldwell counties.
