United Way still accepting donations to support local partner agencies

The United Way of the Pennyrile annual fundraising campaign continues full steam ahead and there’s still time to donate.

Appearing on WHOP Wednesday, Executive Director Betsy Bond says fundraising is going well so far and they’re still waiting to hear from more divisions and see where they stand on their $730,000 goal.

She says that goal is a lofty one, but she has confidence the community’s generosity will get them near it.

To be a United Way partner agency—of which there are 19—organizations undergo a competitive application process and take part in regular reporting.

The United Way of the Pennyrile supports agencies in Christian, Todd, Trigg and Caldwell County, the campaign will finish up in January with a celebration event set for early February. To donate to the cause, go online to the United Way of the Pennyrile website.
