Man served with felony warrants facing new gun, drug charges

A man sought on several felony warrants is facing new drug and gun charges following a traffic stop Monday night on South Campbell Street.

Hopkinsville police located and stopped 30-year old Travis Lacy of Hopkinsville and served him with a Christian County Grand Jury indictment warrant for engaging in organized crime, trafficking in meth and marijuana, possession of a handgun by a felon and other drug-related charges. He also had warrants for probation violation and failure to appear in court.

An arrest citation says a search of his vehicle revealed a 9 mm handgun loaded with hollow point ammunition, another loaded magazine, a small bag of meth, two baggies of marijuana, and more baggies and gloves.

In addition to the warrants, Lacy is now charged with possession of a firearm by a felon, use of restricted ammunition during commission of a felony, trafficking in marijuana, possession of meth and possession of drug paraphernalia.
