A Hopkinsville man is facing felony assault charges against a police officer and nurse after he was arrested Wednesday afternoon at a location on Pembroke Road.
Hopkinsville police officers were dispatched to the 2200 block of Pembroke Road shortly after 3 p.m. to check the welfare of a man who appeared confused and under the influence of some type of substance.
An arrest citation for 30-year old Brandon Hancock says he was combative with officers and medical personnel at Jennie Stuart Health after being taken there for medical clearance.
He allegedly kicked a nurse and an officer during the incident, while causing a disturbance at the hospital.
Hancock is charged with two counts of third-degree assault, public intoxication, disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, with drugs listed as a factor on the report.
