Museums of Hopkinsville hosting historic homes tour

The Museums of Historic Hopkinsville will be hosting a historic homes tour on South Main Street come December 3, where many old, beautiful houses sit.

Museum Director Alissa Keller says the tour is a chance to not only admire the architecture and care that has gone into these homes, but also their history—with some houses having been built in the late 1800’s.

She says that will even include the ‘castle’, which has been undergoing renovations and is truly shining now.

Keller says maps can be found at a tent they’ll have set up on South Main Street starting at 2 p.m., where they will also be selling tickets.

Tickets will be available that day as long as they have them, but Keller urges people to get their tickets in advance through the Museums of Historic Hopkinsville-Christian County Facebook page at $25 per person.  The tour include seven homes and homeowners have them spruced up and decorated for the holidays.
