U.S. Senator Rand Paul has won re-election for a third term.
The Republican defeated former state Representative Charles Booker by a wide margin.
Senator Paul, who has served since 2011, says the victory belonged to the people of Kentucky and to everyone who cherishes their liberty.
In the U.S. House of Representatives, western Kentucky Republican Congressman James Comer will keep his seat, as he defeated Democratic challenger Jimmy Ausbrooks.
