Fort Campbell to honor Command Sgt. Major Joseph Harbour during retirement ceremonies

Fort Campbell is bidding fare well to a longtime figure, as Command Sergeant Major Joseph G. Harbour will relinquish responsibility as the Garrison Command Sergeant Major and retire from Army service during ceremonies November 10.

According to a news release, Harbour began his Army career with the 25th Infantry Division at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, followed by a tour with 1st Battalion, 187th Infantry Regiment, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) at Fort Campbell. He has served in leadership positions at Fort Carson, Colorado, Fort Greely, Alaska, Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri and Fort Polk, Louisiana.

Harbour has remained at Fort Campbell serving in several leadership roles, including 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment, 2nd BCT where, in 2012, he assumed duties as Warrior Transition Battalion first sergeant.

Harbour says he intends to take his time choosing what comes next in his career, but he intends to stay in the Clarksville area.
