Additional indictments possible in Glass Avenue home invasion

Cases against several suspects charged in connection to the armed home invasion into the home of Charles “Bird Dog” Paige on Glass Avenue were continued in Christian Circuit Court Wednesday, and more indictments could be coming.

Ajaizion Johnson, Isaiah Campbell and Michael Sims appeared before Judge John Atkins, with the cases continued to January 18 for various reasons—that includes the different cases for Campbell, who is also facing an assault charge from a separate incident. Commonwealth’s Attorney Rick Boling says there will also be indictments against two more suspects coming soon.

Michael Sims requested he be released on an ankle monitor so he can more easily attend physical therapy for a recent surgery.

Judge Atkins told him he would not release him, but would be willing to consider issuing medical furloughs so he could attend the medical appointments.

Johnson, Sims, Campbell, Marshall Austin and Korey Zivotin are accused of entering the home of Paige on June 16 while brandishing a firearm with the intent to commit a robbery. Gunfire was exchanged between the suspects and Paige, with no one injured in the incident.

The suspects are also accused of conducting reconnaissance and planning before the home invasion occurred.
