42-0. That was the final score Thursday night for Christian County hosting Greenwood.
That score really tells you all you need to know.
Shut out for just the second time all season, this potent offense that boasts three WR’s with a one hundred yard game and a QB who has a two hundred yard game through the air and on the ground, managed less than one hundred yards of total offense last night.
The defense showed slight promise coming up with a few stops, unfortunately the offense was, clearly, unable to compromise.
It was a night without much positivity coming off a showing a week ago with all the positivity.
Several people remarked before the game how pleasantly surprised they were at how enjoyable the game against Murray was and how excited they were to watch these Colonels take on Greenwood.
It did not last.
Now Christian County must regroup and try and recapture that Murray game magic before they go to South Warren in two weeks.
Yes, that is right, the Colonels one shining light may be that they have two weeks to get better.
They also, have two weeks for this loss to fester.
Does it doom them or does it force them to grow? Only time will tell.
