(San Diego, CA)  — The St. Louis Cardinals are bolstering their pitching staff.  The team recalled Dakota Hudson from Triple-A Memphis yesterday.  Manager Oliver Marmol says that he’s not sure if Hudson will be used as a starter or reliever for the rest of the season, but added that he can be effective in either role.  Hudson is 8-and-7 with a 4.16 ERA in 25 starts this season.  In a corresponding move, that Cardinals optioned pitcher Packy Naughton to Memphis.
