The Hopkinsville-Christian County Public Library is announcing expanded and additional programming, open to the community.
According to a news release, the library will be offering Saturday morning Storytime and a Saturday Sensory Friendly Play and Grow program. Storytime will run from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday mornings for children ages zero through five years old, where they will have a chance to interact with others while enjoying books, music, dancing and activities. It will begin on Saturday, September 10.
Saturday Sensory Friendly Play and Grow is for children 2 years of age up to the fourth grade, and is for those with sensitivity to noise, light or large numbers of people. It will be held the third Saturday of the month from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. in the community room. Sensory friendly programs provide the opportunity to interact while keeping the noise, light, and group size to a minimum. Sensory Play and Grow attendance will be limited and registration will be required.
