An investigation Monday afternoon on Frank Yost Lane in Hopkinsville led to the arrest of a suspect on several charges.
The initial call was for possible shots fired and the victim said a man driving a silver Ford Mustang shot at his vehicle.
A car matching the description was located in the T-Rad parking lot and an arrest citation says there was a strong odor of marijuana as 32-year old Demarcus Osborne of Clarksville exited the vehicle.
A bag containing several baggies of marijuana and a jar of the substance were allegedly located behind the front passenger seat, in addition to a digital scale.
Investigation determined that while no shots had been fired, Osborne had allegedly thrown a bottle of alcohol from his car at the victim’s vehicle while it was moving at approximately 60 mph, striking the driver’s side door and making the victim briefly lose control of his car as he believed he was being shot at.
Police say the victim’s door frame was damaged and there was an odor of alcohol on the side of the car.
Osborne was arrested and charged with first-degree wanton endangerment, trafficking in marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal mischief.
