A Hopkinsville man sought for felony assault was arrested Thursday following a pursuit that began in Logan County and ended in Todd.
The Todd County Sheriff’s Office joined the pursuit on KY 106 and 44-year old Eddie Mosley of Hopkinsville attempted to evade police by driving through crop fields.
Mosley was brought to a stop in a soybean field off KY 171 and he was taken into custody.
He was charged with fleeing or evading police and felony criminal mischief for damage to the crops and to several police cruisers.
Mosley was also served with the warrant for complicity to assault in the first-degree, as the Christian County Sheriff’s Office alleges he was with 47-year old Stacy Botts of Elkton last month when Botts went to the Fairview home of the boyfriend of his ex-wife and assaulted him.
A detective testified July 6 that Botts assaulted the man with a metal pipe and that Mosley hit him with a baseball bat.
The victim had to receive staples to his head and his ear was split and had to be sewn back together.
