>>Joint Practices Between Titans And Cardinals Announced

(Nashville, TN)  —  The Titans are announcing the date of their joint practice with Arizona.  The Cardinals visit Nashville on August 24th to start the tandem session for the rest of the week.  Both teams square-off in their final preseason game on the 27th.

>>Browns Q-B Watson Suspension Expected To Be Up To 8 Games

(Cleveland, OH)  —  Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson may not get the lengthy suspension for accusations of sexual misconduct some are expecting.  Pro Football Talk’s Mike Florio says Watson is expected to get a suspension between two-to-eight games.  Florio says his source spoke after reviewing materials submitted to the N-F-L and N-F-L Players Association independent arbitrator.  Yahoo Sports’ Charles Robinson reported Watson plans to sue the N-F-L if he’s hit with a suspension that lasts the entire season.

>>American League Wins M-L-B All-Star Game

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The American League is celebrating a victory at the Midsummer Classic.  The A-L topped the N-L 3-2 at the MLB All-Star Game in Los Angeles.  It’s the ninth straight season the American League is coming away with a win.  Framber Valdez was credited with the victory after pitching a scoreless inning of relief.  Giancarlo Stanton and Byron Buxton went back-to-back with home runs in a three-run fourth inning.  Tony Gonsolin was tagged with the loss after allowing three runs on four hits while Paul Goldschmidt went deep for the National League.  Stanton was named the game’s M-V-P.

>>Rob Manfred Says M-L-B Has Improved Minor League Wages

(Louisville, KY)  —  M-L-B commissioner Rob Manfred is adamant that minor leaguers have received better pay over the past few years.  One day after the Senate Judiciary Committee inquired in a letter about the necessity of the league’s century old antitrust exemption, Manfred rebuked the claims.  In a follow up, Manfred reiterated that he rejects the premise that minor league players are not paid a living wage.  According to the executive director of Advocates for Minor Leaguers, most players work second jobs because “their annual salaries are insufficient to make ends meet.”

>>Tennessee Basketball Sets Date For Colorado Matchup

(Knoxville, TN)  —  Tennessee basketball is setting a date for their clash against Colorado.  The Vols welcome the Buffaloes to Nashville on November 13th just one week into the season.  Tennessee won their previous meeting last season in Colorado and again the year before in Knoxville.  A full schedule has not been released yet.

(Los Angeles, CA)  —  The ESPYS are back.  Golden State Warriors guard and recent NBA Finals MVP Stephen Curry is set to host the award show celebrating the best and brightest in the world of sports.  The 2022 ESPYS air live on ABC tonight at 8 p.m. ET.

>>Nick Saban Addresses Feud With Jimbo Fisher

(Atlanta, GA)  —  Nick Saban spoke about his offseason spat with Jimbo Fisher and Texas A&M’s NIL tactics at SEC media days.  During a separate session in the electronic media room, Saban said he has no issues or problems with the Aggies head coach.  He went on to say that he always takes criticisms in a positive way to assess himself personally.  While at a promotional event in May, Saban said that Texas A&M bought every player in its top-ranked 2022 recruiting class.
