Another suspect has been arrested in connection with the armed home invasion at the Glass Avenue residence of Charles “Bird Dog” Paige.
Hopkinsville police received a tip that 24-year old Ajaizion Johnson of Hopkinsville was at Metro PCS on Fort Campbell Boulevard and an arrest citation says he fled on foot through the parking lot when officers arrived.
He was soon caught and a search of the fanny pack he was wearing allegedly revealed methamphetamine.
Johnson was charged with possession of meth and fleeing or evading police and he was served with warrants for first-degree robbery and violation of an emergency protective order.
The robbery warrant alleges Johnson fired a shotgun while attempting to get inside Paige’s home. Paige returned fire during the incident, but no one was injured.
Johnson allegedly worked with 19-year old Isaiah Campbell, 30-year old Marshall Austin, 18-year old Korey Zivotin and three other suspects who have not yet been identified to commit the alleged robbery, with a detective testifying this week that the perpetrators believed Paige had a stash of money on the property that they were after.
