The Excessive Heat Warning continues until 8 p.m. Wednesday as unseasonably hot weather persists in the region.
High temperatures will be in the upper 90’s and the heat index will make it feel like between 105 to 110.
Christian County Emergency Management Director Randy Graham says stay hydrated if you’re working outdoors and check on the elderly and any vulnerable neighbors.
Never leave a child or pet in a hot car and be sure to lock your vehicles so no small children can get inside on their own.
Graham says also make sure outdoor pets have a constant supply of water and a place of shade to take refuge from the heat.
