A traffic stop by the Christian County Sheriff’s Office on East 18th Street late Saturday night led to an arrest on multiple charges.
Deputy Mark Nichols stopped 18-year old Devonni Radford of Hopkinsville for only having one headlight and a computer check showed he did not have a license.
The report says there was an odor of marijuana coming from the car and a K9 alerted on the vehicle.
A search allegedly turned up a bag containing marijuana.
As Deputy Nichols tried to place Radford under arrest, he allegedly tried to flee on foot, but a taser was used to take him into custody.
Further search revealed a loaded 9 mm handgun under the passenger seat in the back floorboard.
Radford was arrested and charged with trafficking in marijuana, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, fleeing or evading police, resisting arrest and other charges.
