Comer won’t support new gun laws following recent mass shootings

Western Kentucky Congressman James Comer doesn’t believe recent mass shootings across the country are reason to pass stronger gun control laws.

Comer is the Republican ranking member of the House Oversight Committee and said during a hearing on gun violence Wednesday that new gun laws in reaction to the killings aren’t the way to solve the problem.

He accused some of politicizing tragedies.
