More information has been released on the crash which killed Jeff Gladney of the Arizona Cardinals. Dallas County Sheriff’s deputies say Gladney’s Mercedes collided with another vehicle early Monday in downtown Dallas. The SUV started burning after flipping over and hitting a bridge support.
It’s not known if the 25-year-old Gladney was driving the SUV at the time, although authorities confirmed Gladney’s girlfriend Mercedes Andrea Palacios died in the crash as well. Gladney, who starred at TCU, signed a contract with Arizona in March after a season and a half in Minnesota.
Fox Sports unveiled its lead NFL broadcast team for this upcoming season and Super Bowl. Kevin Burkhardt will take over the reigns of play by play duty from Joe Buck while former NFL tight end Greg Olsen will be the lead analyst. Erin Andrews and Tom Rinaldi will handle sideline duties. The team will make its regular season debut on September 11th in Minneapolis when the Minnesota Vikings host the Green Bay Packers.
