The Christian County Long Term Recovery Group Inc. will host a “call day” on Tuesday of next week, June 7 from noon until 5 p.m. at 110 West Second Street.
According to a news release, the purpose of the event is to talk with individuals or businesses impacted by the December 10-11 or the January 1 tornadoes that struck Christian County.
Officials says that for those who have already filed a FEMA claim, make sure to keep your phone close by on Tuesday and be ready to answer it if you see an unknown number. For those who have not filed a FEMA claim, before Tuesday call 270-887-6253 and provide contact information. One can also go the Christian County Long Term Recovery Group Facebook page and complete the brief online survey.
In addition, volunteers are needed to make phone calls to tornado victims and to identify unmet needs. Catholic Charities, which is handling case management for Christian County’s long term recovery effort, will provide telephones and a brief training session for volunteers making phone calls.
