State Representative Myron Dossett of Pembroke is reminding those who had property damage from the December 10 and 11 tornadoes to apply for an insurance deductible reimbursement.
The reimbursement is being offered through the Kentucky Public Protection Cabinet and Representative Dossett says he personally understands the hardships of rebuilding from the tornadoes and this money could help lessen the blow, if even a little. He says in a time when costs are so high and people are struggling, even a little bit could help get things back to normal.
Representative Dossett is unsure if there’s a deadline to apply for the reimbursement, but he recommends getting it done as soon as possible, just in case resources are shifted to a different area—he also says the process can be slow, so getting it started sooner is better.
