Hopkinsville Police Sergeant Rico Rodriguez was one of 43 graduates Thursday of the 147th Administrative Officers Course from the Southern Police Institute at the University of Louisville.
Officials say Sgt. Rodriguez was part of a class that represented 39 law enforcement agencies from 18 different states.
The Southern Police Institute is an advanced educational and training institute whose mission is to enhance the professional development of law enforcement practitioners. The Administrative Officers Course is a twelve-week in-residence, accredited college-level educational program.
The course curriculum is designed to develop informed, effective, ethically and technically competent law enforcement managers who are capable of assuming positions of leadership in their respective agencies.
