Lt. Governor Jacqueline Coleman was in Cadiz Thursday morning and presented just over $630,000 for local infrastructure improvements.
It includes about $376,000 for the Barkley Lake Water District to replace waterlines in the Rockcastle area, a little over $161,000 for the City of Cadiz to replace 2,600 feet of sewer lines and $92,000 in funding for Trigg County to resurface portions of Bluebird Drive, Hickory Drive and Horseshoe Drive.
Lt. Governor Coleman says investing in infrastructure is vital for continued economic growth in Kentucky.
Cadiz Mayor Todd King said the money through the Better Kentucky Plan’s Cleaner Water Program will go toward a very important project.
Trigg County Judge-Executive thanked the lieutenant governor for the discretionary funds to maintain those roads.
State Representative Walker Thomas was also among those on hand for the ceremony.
