Ja Morant hit the game-winning layup in the closing seconds as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 111-109 in game five at FedEx Forum. Morant took over the game late as he scored Memphis’ final 13 points and finished with a game-high 30 points for the Grizzlies, who take a 3-2 lead in the first round series. The series shifts back to Minneapolis for game six on Friday.
