The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says a major downtown Hopkinsville intersection will be closed for at least part of Monday to allow repairs on a storm drain.
KYTC Spokesperson Kiersten Jaggers says beginning Monday at 7:30 a.m., the intersection of East Ninth Street and South Virginia Street in Hopkinsville will be closed due to a storm drain failure.
A steel plate has been placed over it to protect traffic and reopening of the intersection will be determined by the severity of the damages.
