Negotiations continue between lawyers in Car Outlet robbery case

The sides are getting closer to a resolution, but negotiations are continuing between the Commonwealth and attorneys for the two men charged in connection with an October, 2019 robbery at Car Outlet on Fort Campbell Boulevard.

James Chamberlain now represents 41-year old Charles Hollowell of Hopkinsville and asked Judge John Atkins for more time to work toward a resolution.

Judge Atkins set another hearing for April 20 and denied a request to release Hollowell on an ankle monitor.

Eric Bearden represents the co-defendant, 60-year old Tony Earl Jones of Hopkinsville, and agreed it’ll be time to schedule a trial if there’s no resolution by April 20.

Hopkinsville police allege Hollowell and Jones forced their way into Car Outlet while wearing Halloween masks, assaulted an employee and fled with cash.
