An attorney in Logan County has been indicted for felony theft.
The Kentucky Attorney General’s Office announced the indictment of Joe “Stewart” Wheeler for for one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition of $10,000 or more and one count of theft by unlawful taking or disposition of $1,000 or more.
Both counts are Class D felonies and Wheeler is set to be arraigned April 14 in Logan Circuit Court.
The News Democrat Leader reports Wheeler is accused of stealing a total of $20,000 from a trust in July of 2019.
