Signage placed at site of new high school construction

Signage has been placed at the site where the Hopkinsville-Christian County Academy will be built and Superintendent Chris Bentzel has chosen the colors and mascot for the consolidated high school.

The banners on the property at Fort Campbell Boulevard and Lovers Lane say the “Future Home of Hopkinsville-Christian County Academy.”

That name was chosen by the Christian County Board of Education during its February 17th meeting.

School colors of blue and black and the “Wolfpack” mascot were presented to the board as options and Superintendent Bentzel has made them official, according to a news release.

The district plans to break ground this spring and construction could begin as soon as the early fall of this year. The school system hopes to have students on campus as soon as fall of 2024.
