MORNING SPORTS BRIEFS 3/24/22

NFL

The Kansas City Chiefs are trading star wide receiver Tyreek Hill to the Miami Dolphins. Miami will send five draft picks back to Kansas City including a first round pick, a second round pick and fourth round pick this year. The Chiefs also get a fourth round and sixth round pick in the 2023 draft. Hill and Miami have reportedly already agreed to an extension that will make him the highest paid wide receiver in the NFL.

NBA

Despite no Ja Morant due to a knee injury, the Memphis Grizzlies downed the Brooklyn Nets 132-120 last night. The Grizzlies return to action tonight hosting the Indiana Pacers.

Bowling Green native Terry Taylor had 13 points and seven rebounds in the Indiana Pacers 110-109 loss to the Sacramento Kings last night.

NHL

The Nashville Predators look to rebound from a Tuesday night loss to the Los Angeles Kings as they play at the Vegas Golden Knights this evening. First puck drops at 9 pm.

Golf

Princeton’s Emma Talley is in the field for the LPGA Tour’s JTBC Classic that begins today in Carlsbad, CA.

The PGA Tour’s WGC/Dell Match Play Championship begin yesterday in Austin, TX. Louisville area native Justin Thomas lost his first match 3 and 2 to Luke List. Thomas meets Marc Leishman in a match this afternoon.
