Kentucky’s Mr. and Miss Basketball awards were announced Sunday night in Lexington. The Mr. Basketball winner was Tanner Buttry of Bowling Green High. Buttry averaged 23 points per game in 32 games for the 4th Region runner up Purples. He will play collegiately at Eastern Kentucky.
The Miss Basketball winner was Amiya Jenkins of Anderson County who averaged 20.8 points per game for the Lady Bearcats who lost to Sacred Heart in the opening round of the Girls Sweet 16. Jenkins will play collegiately at the University of Kentucky.
