The University of Louisville has named former Cardinal standout Kenny Payne as its new coach, replacing Chris Mack:
Payne says when he met with interim Louisville AD Josh Herid and discussed the NCAA investigation into the basketball program, it didn’t phase him in taking the job:
The 55-year-old Payne currently serves as an assistant coach of the NBA’s New York Knicks.
