Vandy wins NIT opener, UK & Murray State prep for NCAA games Thursday

Jordan Wright had 24 points as Vanderbilt defeated Belmont 82-71 in the opening round of the NIT last night in Nashville. The Commodores are now 18-16 and will face either Dayton or Toledo, who play this evening. Date, site and time will be determined after tonight’s game.

Kentucky and Murray State are in Indianapolis ahead of their appearances in the East Region tomorrow night. The Wildcats face Saint Peter’s at 6:10 with pregame at 4:30 on Lite Rock 98.7. The Racers face San Francisico at 8:40 tomorrow night. Tennessee is also in Indianapolis readying for its South Region game Thursday afternoon at 1:45 against Longwood in the South Region.
