One day after trading pitcher Sonny Gray to the Minnesota Twins, the Cincinnati Reds made another swap Monday. The Reds acquired right hand pitcher Justin Dunn, outfielder Jake Fraley, 2019 second-round pick left hand pitcher Brandon Williamson and a player to be named from the Seattle Mariners for 3B Eugenio Suárez and OF Jesse Winker.

NFL

The Tennessee Titans are retaining a key piece of their offensive line. NFL Network is reporting that Tennessee is re-signing center Ben Jones to a two-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth 14-million dollars. ESPN is reporting the Titans signed offensive lineman Jamarco Jones to a two-year contract worth $ 5.75 million and re-signed tight end Geoff Swaim to a one-year deal.

There’s a new quarterback in the Steel City. NFL Network is reporting the Pittsburgh Steelers signed Mitch Trubisky to a two-year contract. The deal is reportedly worth 14.25 million dollars, but it can be worth up to 27 million dollars with incentives. After four seasons of starting with the Chicago Bears, Trubisky spent last season as a backup to Josh Allen in Buffalo.

Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies return to action this evening on the road at the Indiana Pacers. Tipoff is at 6 pm.

Former Kentucky Wildcat Karl Anthony Towns scored 60 points in Minnesota’s 149-139 win over the San Antonio Spurs last night, setting a Wolves franchise-record for most points in a game. Towns scored over half of his points in the third quarter. His 60-point performance is also the most single-game points by the individual in the NBA this season.

The PGA Tour’s weather delayed The Players Championship finally concluded Monday at TPC Sawgrass. Cameron Smith at 13 under par was the winner after firing 66 in the final round. Anirban Lahiri finished in second place after shooting 12-under. Louisville area native Justin Thomas-the defending champion-tied for 33rd at three under par while Nashville’s Brandt Snedeker finished at even par.
