UK’s Tshiebwe named SEC Player of the Year

Kentucky’s Oscar Tshiebwe has been chosen today as the Southeastern Conference Player of the Year. He was also named to the SEC’s First team today along with Tennessee’s Santiago Viscovi and Vanderbilt’s Scotty Pippen, Jr. Tshiebwe was also named to the All-Defensive team. Fellow Wildcat TyTy Washington was named to the SEC’s Second Team and to the All-Freshman team. UK’s Shavir Wheeler was also names to the SEC Second team along with Tennessee’s Kennedy Chandler and Zakai Zeigler, with Zeigler also receiving All Defensive Team honors. Auburn’s Bruce Pearl was named Coach of the Year.
