A motorcyclist was flown to an Evansville hospital Friday following a single-vehicle crash on Dawson Road in Caldwell County.
According to the Caldwell County Sheriff’s Department, deputies responded to the 10000 block of Dawson Road and upon arrival began performing life saving techniques to the victim, 58-year-old Raul Demoura of Princeton until EMS arrived. Investigation determined that Demoura had reportedly swerved to avoid hitting an animal, losing control of the motorcycle he was operating and striking a guard rail.
Demoura was taken to Caldwell County Hospital, where he was later flown to an Evansville hospital for further treatment.
