The LSU Tigers are picking up a major addition via the transfer portal. Head coach Brian Kelly announced Sunday that the program is adding transfer quarterback Jayden Daniels. Daniels comes over after spending the last three seasons as the starting QB at Arizona State. He threw for 2,380 yards, 10 touchdowns and 10 interceptions last season with the Sun Devils. Daniels joins a group that features Myles Brennan, Garrett Nussmeier and Walker Howard.

Major League Baseball’s Players Association is giving the league a new proposal to mull over. But ESPN reports the proposal probably won’t be the one that ends the current lockout. The proposal included a five-million dollar reduction to the union’s last offer in the pre-arbitration bonus pool, but no changes were made in the offer for the competitive balance tax proposal.
NBA
Ja Morant had 22 points in the Memphis Grizzlies 123-112 loss to the Houston Rockets last night. The Grizzlies meet the New Orleans Pelicans tomorrow night.
Bowling Green’s Terry Taylor had only two points off the bench in the Indiana Pacers 133-123 loss to the Washington Wizards Sunday. The Pacers welcome the Cleveland Cavaliers tomorrow night.
Golf
Princeton’s Emma Talley finished tied for 43rd at the LPGA Tour’s HSBC Women’s World Championship that concluded Sunday morning in Singapore. Her two under 286 score earned her a little over 76-hundred dollars.
Scottie Scheffler won the PGA Tour’s Arnold Palmer Invitational Sunday. Scheffler finished the event at five-under par. Three golfers tied for second place with Tyrrell Hatton, Viktor Hovland, and Billy Horschel each were at four-under par. Two players finished in a tie for fifth place at three-under par.
Retief Goosen at 15 under was a four shot winner over KJ Choi at the PGA Tour Champions Hoag Classic in Newport Beach, CA.
NASCAR
Alex Bowman cashed out in Sin City as he raced to a first place finish in his first victory of the year at the NASCAR Pennzoil 400 at Las Vegas. His teammate Kyle Larson finished second. Ross Chastain took third. Kyle Busch and William Byron rounded out the top five.
