The Lyon Co. Lyons are 2nd Region Tournament Champions for the first time in 71 years. The Lyons defeated Hopkinsville on Saturday afternoon in Tiger Gym 87 to 69 to claim their first championship since 1951. The Lyons outscored Hopkinsville by 10 in the 4th quarter of play to seal the win. Hopkinsville ends the season at 23 and 7, while Lyon Co. improves to 28 and 6 and will play the winner of the 5th Region in the Sweet 16 at Rupp Arena on Thursday March 17th at 12:30pm central time..
