OVC Tournament begins Wednesday in Evansville

19th ranked Murray State completed Ohio Valley Conference play a perfect 18-0 following a comeback win at Southeast Missouri Saturday. The 28-2 Racers earned the top seed in the OVC Tournament that begins Wednesday in Evansville and will face either Tennessee State, SIU Edwardsville or Southeast Missouri in Friday night’s first semifinal game at 7 pm.

Meanwhile, Austin Peay earned its ticket to the OVC Tournament and will open play Wednesday night in Evansville against Tennessee Tech. If the Governors win, they would meet Morehead State Thursday night with the winner of that game to face Belmont in the second semifinal game Friday night.

OVC Women’s Tournament: Both Murray State and Austin Peay earned first round byes and will play in the quarterfinals on Thursday afternoon at the Ford Center in Evansville. Austin Peay is the fourth seed and will meet either Eastern Illinois or Tennessee State at 1 pm Thursday while Murray State is the third seed and will face UT Martin or SIU Edwardsville at 3:30 pm.
