19th ranked Murray State clinched the Ohio Valley Conference regular season championship with a 76-43 trouncing of Belmont last night at the CFSB Center. KJ Williams had 30 points in the win for the Racers, who improved to 27-2 overall and 17-0 in the OVC. The Racers conclude regular season play tomorrow at Southeast Missouri.
Austin Peay clinched a spot in the Ohio Valley Conference tournament with a 68-64 overtime win at SIU Edwardsville. The Governors finish the regular season tomorrow at Eastern Illinois.
Women’s Scores: Belmont defeated Murray State 85-79 and Austin Peay fell to SIU Edwardsville 71-61 in Ohio Valley Conference action. Southeastern Conference action saw Kentucky defeat Missouri 78-63, 16th ranked Tennessee topped Mississippi State 86-64 and Vanderbilt upset 15th ranked Florida 63-59. Fourth ranked Louisville topped Pittsburgh in ACC play 66-55.
