MORNING SPORTS BRIEFS 2/22/22

MLB

Major League Baseball and the Players Association are still making little progress in their effort to end the league’s lockout. ESPN reports the sides met Monday for nearly five hours and didn’t come to terms on a new collective bargaining agreement. The lockout has already affected spring training, which was delayed until at least March 5th. The sides are still working to avoid moving Opening Day, which is scheduled for March 31st.

NHL

The Nashville Predators stay on the road in the midst of a four game losing skid. The Predators visit the Florida Panthers tonight with first puck dropping at 6 pm.
