U of L & Vandy men lose, Murray State women win in OT/Tonight’s Games

Louisville fell to Miami 70-63 putting the Cardinals on a seven game losing streak, its longest since the 1940-41 season. The Cardinals were led in scoring by Dre Davis with 18 points in falling to 11-14. Louisville is back in action Saturday afternoon hosting Clemson.

Second ranked Auburn downed Vanderbilt 94-80. Scotty Pippen, Jr. led the Commodores with 29 points as they fell to 13-12. Vanderbilt is back in action Saturday hosting Texas A&M.

Women’s: Murray State ended a five game losing streak to Austin Peay, grinding out a 68-61victory in overtime. Katelyn Young led the 19-7 Racers with 21 points while Austin Peay was led in scoring by Shay-Lee Kirby with 15 in falling to 17-8. Murray State visits UT Martin Saturday while Austin Peay welcomes Tennessee Tech.

Tonight’s Games

The Murray State-Austin Peay rivalry renews this evening at the CFSB Center in Murray. The 21st ranked Racers won the earlier meeting in Clarksville 65-53. Tipoff for the nationally televised game on ESPN U is at 6 pm.

Western Kentucky welcomes Charlotte to EA Diddle Arena this evening. The Hilltoppers are on a five game win streak which began at Charlotte on February 3rd. Tipoff is at 7 pm.

Women: Southeastern Conference action has Kentucky at Vanderbilt and 12th ranked Tennessee at Alabama. Western Kentucky is in Conference USA action at Charlotte.
