The Senate Minority Leader supports President Biden’s take on the crisis on the Russian border with Ukraine.
Kentucky Republican Mitch McConnell said the president was right to remind the Russian people that the U.S. doesn’t want a war and assert that the world wouldn’t stand idly by should they invade Ukraine.
He also praised the troops from Fort Campbell and elsewhere in the United States who have deployed to support European allies.
McConnell stood behind Biden’s plan to enact sanctions against Russia in the event of conflict.
